Multi - talented Composer, Conductor, and teacher, only twenty-eight already behind a rich
biography which includes writing music for the most important orchestras and ensembles in
Israel, establishment of a conservatory in a distress neighborhood in Jerusalem, performing
on Israel important stages and more.

His music has been performed by the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israeli Chamber
Orchestra, Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (USA), the Tiroler Ensemble für Neue Musik -
Innsbruck (Austria), Musica Nova Ensemble (Israel), Meitar Ensemble (Israel) and more.
These performances and other live concerts have been recorded and broadcasted on the
classical radio station "the voice of music" as well as on Israeli television.

In April 2008 Bustan conducted the premiere of his opera and was received with high acclaim.
Among the music groups he played with are: The Israeli Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva, the Haifa
Symphony Orchestra, Kaprizma Ensemble and more. His playing has also been recorded and
broadcasted.
Bustan teaches composition, and music appreciation, and conducted the Emek Hayarden
Ensemble (2007-2011). He was the founder and musical director of the Gonenim Music Center
(2003-2011). Since 2010 he began giving lectures at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
the Division for External Studies of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and more.

Bustan received a Master's degree in Composition, Conducting and Mandolin Performance
from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Among his teachers were violinist
Motti Smidt, composer Haim Permont, and conductor Aharon Harlap.

He won the Chana Avni-Yaddor's Composition Competition (2007-2008), the 2005/6 Deborah
Grossman Award for Excellence in Music Education, and was awarded scholarships from the
America-Israel Cultural Foundation for his compositions and Mandolin playing since 2002.
